As a modern interpretation of the perimeter-block typology from the city’s Gründerzeit, the design welcomes the public into its dynamic interior of swooping plazas, grand stairs and linked volumes. Creating a bustling hub of public interest, the six rounded volumes are separated by a broad pedestrian axis which features cultural attractions, restaurants and relaxation amenities interspersed with offices. While the northern cluster references the general form of the neighboring buildings, the southern development is distinguished by two curvilinear high-rises. The development’s terraced base gently integrates the new project into its urban context. The green landscaped open space features different paving themes, vegetation and water elements which encourage social activity.
